The territory covered by the cycling route "La Via dei Laghi" is wide and includes 11 municipalities of the Iblei in the provinces of Siracusa, Catania and Ragusa: Lentini, where the entrance GATE is located, Scordia, Militello in Val di Catania, Licodia Eubea, Chiaramonte Gulfi, Giarratana, Monterosso Almo, Vizzini, Buccheri, Francofonte and Carlentini.
Besides Lentini; Scordia, Militello Val di Catania, Vizzini, Chiaramonte Gulfi and Giarratana are intermodal points of entry and are therefore considered gateways.
All other municipalities with their POINT are Route Stages.
